Valencia

Valencia is a fascinating city of clichés: light, the moon, firecrackers (gun-powder), paella, flowers, the Fallas, etc. You have to visit Valencia in order to see the very old traditions coexist with modern life; that the sea melts into the city; that the green lawns and gardens fit perfectly into a modern urban landscape; that Valencia is unique at night and during the day. And the capital’s river, the Turia, is a must. In addition to the innumerable attractions which the city has had for years, there is a series of eye-catching infrastructures such as the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias (City of Arts and Sciences) and the Museo Príncipe Felipe (Prince Philip’s Museum) as well as the Fallas, one of the most international of festivals which takes place in February.

The imposing skyline of skyscrapers greets visitors approaching Benidorm, the greatest of all tourist cities in Spain. Benidorm is famous for its seemingly endless Levante and Poniente beaches and for its fantastic opportunities for leisure and fun.
The beautiful town of Altea is famous for its Old Quarter lined with whitewashed houses. To the north, over the Gully of Mascarat and the Mountain range of Bernia, the landscape opens up to reveal the most striking of landmarks on the Costa Blanca: the Rock of Ifach in Calpe, which rises up to 327 metres.

Santa Pola e Isla Tabarca

A visit to the Island of Tabarca is practically a must-do trip for anyone visiting the Costa Blanca. It is the only inhabited island in the Region of Valencia and is located opposite the city of Alicante, 11 nautical miles offshore, near the headland of Santa Pola. It is approximately 1,800 metres long and around 400 metres across at its widest point. In the past, its shores were a refuge for Berber pirates. It is perfect for lovers of scuba diving.
