On this tour we will have opportunity to make a sightseeing tour in a tourist bus with panoramic upper floor (roofless). During this route, we will go all over the centre of Madrid and we will see the most emblematic monuments of the Spanish capital.

Santiago Bernabeu Stadium (Madrid)

Football fans will greatly enjoy this visit as the students of our school Spanish school can visit the so-called “White House”, the shrine of one of the most important teams in the world: the Real Madrid. On this visit to the famous Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, we will go all over its facilities and see the most emblematic places in the staidum: a panorama of the stadium, the Best Club of History room, the Sensations room, photomontages, the pitch, the Presidential Box, the changing rooms, the tunnel, the benches and technical area, the press room and the shop.

Las Ventas Bullring (Madrid)

On this visit the students of our Spanish school will have the opportunity to learn more about the bullfighting tradition through a tour of this bullring, where they will see: the “Puerta Grande”, the terrace, the stands, the “Arrastre Gate”, the ring, the Bull Pen Gate, the Bull Pens, the “Puerta de Cuadrillas” and “paseíllo”, the infirmary, the chapel and the Taurine Museum of Madrid.

Museo del Prado (Madrid)

The Museo del Prado is one of the most important and visited art galleries in the world. It has some of the most important paintings of European painting, with a collection including works of great artists such as Velazquez, El Greco, Goya, Titian, Rubens, Bosch, as well as Murillo, Ribera, Zurbaran, Raphael, Veronese, Tintoretto, Van Dyck and Poussin, among others. Among his best-known works, it has Las Meninas by Velazquez, The Garden of Earthly Delights by Hieronymus Bosch, Saturn Devouring His Son by Goya, the Nude Maja by Goya or the Last Supper by Joan de Joanes. Museo Reina Sofía (Madrid)

The Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía (MNCARS) is an art gallery that gathers works of art of the twentieth century and contemporary. This is one of the most important museums in the country, with pieces of extraordinary historical value. Among the most prominent authors in its collection, we can find Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali and Joan Miro, although the museum has also collections of surrealist art, cubism and expressionist art. Among its works stand out especially Picasso’s Guernica, Girl at the Window by Dali, Demoiselles d’Avignon by Picasso, the Face of the Great Masturbator by Dali, The Open Window by Juan Gris or the Smile of the Flaming Wings by Joan Miro.

Royal Palace of Madrid + Almudena Cathedral (Madrid)

Although the current monarchs do not live in it, the Royal Palace (or Palacio de Oriente) is the official residence of the King of Spain. It is the largest palace in Western Europe, with 135.000 m2 of extension and 3.418 rooms. The palace has collections of great historical and artistic importance, as its Stradivarius instruments and its various paintings, sculptures and tapestries of great value.

Located opposite the Royal Palace, the Almudena Cathedral is an impressive architectural complex of 102 meters long and 73 meters high, whose construction began in the late nineteenth century. Its beautiful blend of neoclassical, neo-gothic and neo-romanesque architecture will delight the students of our Spanish school who are history of art lovers.

Royal Palace of El Pardo + Temple of Debod (Madrid)

The Royal Palace of El Pardo, whose construction dates back to the sixteenth century, is one of the residences of the Spanish Royal Family. At present, it is mainly used as accommodation for Foreign State Heads who are in an official visit in Spain. However, cultural visits are also organised for its great architectural value, especially the decorative aspect of its interior, representative of various historical periods. In addition, the palace has beautiful frescoes of the time of Philip II and valuable collections of tapestries, among which some of Francisco de Goya stand out.

The Temple of Debod is an Egyptian construction of the second century B.C., which was donated to Spain for their assistance in the rescue of the temples of Nubia. Originally, it was a temple dedicated to the gods Amon and Isis, and the chapel is decorated with reliefs. For its reconstruction, which took two years and ended in 1972, the original orientation of the temple was respected. The Temple of Debod is surrounded by gardens which, together with the building and its beautiful lighting, make of it an idyllic spot, especially at sunset.
