Getting to the Spanish school in Elche

Elche has excellent national and international connections, thanks to its privileged location in the province of Alicante, located south of the Valencian Community. Its strategic position places it in a location that is just minutes from the airport of Alicante-Elche, which is connected through an really efficient road and highway network; and linked to the competent Spanish railway network, both to the usual railroad, which offers Commuter and Middle Distance routes, as well as to the High-Speed railroad, which saves long distances in a short time.

By plane

The easiest way to get to our Spanish school in Elche from abroad is undoubtedly by plane. Thanks to the Alicante-Elche International Airport, which is among the 10 Spanish airports with more air traffic and whose destinies are extended each year, it is becoming easier to get to our school from anywhere in Europe or other parts of Spain.

The airport is located just 15 minutes from Elche and, as it belongs to the city, it is superbly connected by an efficient network of intercity buses and a taxi service available 24 hours a day.

By bus

The Subús group is an intercity bus company that offers a service that directly connects the Alicante-Elche International Airport with the cities of Elche and Alicante. This service is called “Aerobus” and has two lines that cover the route to and from Elche: lines 1A and 1B. Depending on the line and origin, these buses operate from 6:00h to 22:10h approximately. This tour has a duration of around 30 or 40 minutes and departs every hour from Monday to Friday and every two hours during weekends and holidays. The ticket price costs 1,55 € each way.

By taxi

The Alicante-Elche International Airport has a taxi service available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, which sets a fixed price of 25 € each way. The tour lasts approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic.

To apply this journey in reverse, that is from Elche city to the airport, there are numerous taxi ranks dotted around the city as well as a telephone service available 24 hours a day which allows you to request taxis from anywhere in the city: (+34) 965 42 77 77.

By train

Commuter: Elche has a suburban railway network, which operates regularly and directly connects the city with Alicante, Murcia and all locations that are in the way. Elche has two railway stations (RENFE) that offer this Commuter service: Elche Parque (Elx-Parc), located in the heart of the city and a few meters from our school Spanish, and Elche Carrús (Elx-Carrús). This service offers departures approximately every 30 minutes on weekdays and every hour on weekends and holidays. The tour lasts about 20 minutes to Alicante and 55 minutes to Murcia.

Medium and Long Distance: About 15-20 minutes from Elche, is the city of Alicante. It has a railway station that has a competent Medium and Long Distance train network including a High-Speed train service (AVE). Thanks to it, we have at our disposal an efficient and fast connection with other Spanish cities and some cities in Portugal and France.

By car

Elche’s main road connection is the A-7, which is called Mediterranean Highway because it connects the entire Mediterranean coast on a single road that starts in Algeciras (Cádiz) and reaches Barcelona. This highway is also part of the European route E-15, which connects directly with France and England and eases road links with the rest of Europe.

Another of the best long-distance routes linked to Elche is the A-31, which corresponds to the secondary axis European road E-903, and connects the province of Alicante with Madrid and other cities in the inland of the Peninsula.
