Spanish course in summer for juniors

It is well-known how important learning foreign languages is in order to face the future with good prospects. Learning Spanish is a safe bet, widening your career options and helping you grow as a person. Spanish is the third most-spoken language in the world and has a rich cultural and educational patrimony.

Thinking about the future, especially for your young ones at home, Top School has a summer programme for teenagers aged 15-18 during the months of July and August (minimum 2 weeks). It is a course designed so that these youngsters enjoy their summer while at the same time learn Spanish. The package includes 15 classes of Spanish per week combined with a host of activities and free time so that fun is ensured.

The students on this summer programme will stay with families in Elche (Alicante), on a full-board basis (breakfast, lunch and evening meal). This type of accommodation is the best way for the student to be fully immersed in Spanish life and to feel at home in their new city.

Elche is the perfect city to spend the summer in as it has a lot to offer visitors. It is well-connected, only 15 minutes from the beach, another 15 from the airport, has a fantastic climate all year round, several museums and other leisure activities.

The school

Top School is easy to get to as it is only 5 minutes’ walk from the city centre and various bus routes stop by the school. What is more, its modern premises have air-conditioned classrooms with the latest technology (smartboards, audiovisual equipment, etc) and WiFi connection.

The course is run by highly-qualified, experienced native teachers and covers all aspects of the Spanish language, with great emphasis on communicative skills. All this is carried out in a socio-cultural Spanish context, so that the student not only learns the language but also feels integrated in its culture and customs.

On the other hand, the activities and excursions that we offer help students to work and communicate in Spanish, activating their learning within real-life contexts.

The accommodation

All students will be accommodated with host families, on a full board basis (including a packed lunch) and we strive to select families with similar interests to the students. Living in a Spanish home is the best way to improve your language skills and experiencing everyday life with our carefully selected, locally based host families, the welcoming and supporting atmosphere only a Spanish home can create will allow every student to thrive.

All of our host families are within easy reach of the school and regularly supervised by our Accommodation Officer.
