History of Top School in Spain Spanish school
Top School was first founded in 1983 as a language school for Spanish students, under the name of Christine’s School. In 1991, our school moved to Elche (Alicante), at Avenida de Alicante, under the name by which it has been known ever since: Top School.
In 1996, in our desire for growth, we expanded our activities and began to operate as an agency, sending students abroad on language courses, enriching their learning experience in the country where the language is spoken.
2008 was decisive in the history of Top School. Thanks to the loyalty of our students and the constant growth of our school, we moved to new premises located at Calle Guadassuar, our present location. This new centre offers facilities that are more modern, fully renovated, equipped with the latest educational technology and located in an ideal place, opposite the Miguel Hernandez University, a few steps from the bus station of Elche and just a 5-minute walk from the heart of the city.
Our venture into teaching Spanish as a foreign language started in the same year, when we began to welcome students from a whole host of other countries eager to learn the Spanish language, while at the same time, embrace its culture. Thanks to our vast experience as agents, we can anticipate the needs of each student and school, and therefore, go out of our way to make sure these expectations are met.
In 2010, Top School continues to expand, this time opening a new headquarters in Alcalá de Henares (Madrid), located in the famous Calle Libreros, in the historic centre of the city. From this centre we started to offer all Top School services following the protocols of the main headquarters, and always under the personalised service that characterises us.
Only 4 years later, again thanks to the trust of our students and clients, we saw the need to expand these facilities, forcing us to move our second headquarters to a new larger centre, from where we -still today- strive to provide the best service to our students. This centre offers more spacious, bright and modern facilities, and is located at José María Pereda, a residential area located close to the Campus of the University of Alcala and well-connected to the rest of the city.
August 2013 was an important landmark for Top School main headquarters, since we were honoured to be the only school in Elche officially accredited as an Instituto Cervantes-approved school. This adds prestige to our Spanish courses, guaranteeing students excellence in teaching.
In our desire to offer each day a better service to our foreign students, in 2015 we joined the Spanish Federation of Associations of Schools of Spanish as a Foreign Language (FEDELE), which allows us to better meet the needs of our students and keep improving the standards of our services to offer Spanish courses of the highest quality.
